Circuit Zolder, also known as the "Circuit van Terlaemen" or "Omloop van Terlaemen," is a Belgian racetrack located near the village of Viversel, in the municipality of Heusden-Zolder. Several national and international motorsport competitions, as well as cycling and BMX, are held annually at the circuit. The most famous race at this circuit is the 24 Hours of Zolder.

The Beringen Coal Mine was one of seven mines in the Kempen coal basin. This Kempen mining operation was located in Beringen, but the mine itself is located in the area of Koersel, now a sub-municipality of Beringen (Belgium).

The Kuringen Bridge is a new arched bridge over the Albert Canal in Belgium, replacing two old railway bridges to increase the clearance for shipping. Built between 2019 and 2021, it now allows for a higher clearance of 9.10 meters and widens the canal to 86 meters. In addition to the new railway bridge, a wide bicycle connection was also created.

The recreation area is known to many as "het (Koersels) kapelleke" (the Koersels chapel), as it grew around the chapel of Our Lady of the Stakes and has been a place of pilgrimage since 1826. The observation tower is the focal point of this wooded area. Anyone who climbs the nearly 30-meter-high tower can look out over the typical Kempen landscape.
