The Arena dello Stretto is an open-air theater located on the seafront of Reggio Calabria, where the Porto Salvo pier once stood, destroyed by the earthquake of 1908. The theater is inspired by the ancient Greek style and offers a beautiful view on the Strait of Messina and Sicily. In the center of the arena is a bronze statue of the goddess Athena, who protects the city.
