The medieval fortress of Stigliano was first mentioned in 1152 as a feudal property of the Bishop of Treviso. However, its origins may date back to Roman times due to its location in the "graticolato" area. In 1158, it was entrusted to the Tempesta family of Noale and then to the Teutonic Knight Aldobrandino da Superno. Built in a strategic position, alongside the Muson dei Sassi stream, it marked the border between the territories of Padua and Treviso. Therefore, it was the scene of numerous brutal battles until the end of the fourteenth century. It was here, however, that the disputes between the Carraresi and the Serenissima Republic of Venice began. It was the Venetians who finally conquered it in 1520, when it was sold to the Priuli family, who transformed it into a typical Venetian villa of the time. The entire complex then became the property of the Venier family, who further renovated it. Today, only the northeast corner tower remains of the original castle.

Tergolandia takes its name from the Tergola river that flows near it. It is a beautiful embankment that can be explored on foot or by bicycle, with very beautiful and fun works for adults and children. Along the way you can also stop to rest. If you reach the place by car I recommend parking in the area in front of the church of Bronzola. There are no refreshment points, you bring your own snacks, taking care not to leave rubbish in the area. N.B: I didn't post all the photos, so that you would be curious to go for a walk.

The origins of the castle date back to Roman times, when the building was used as a fortification. Over the centuries the complex passed through the hands of various owners. In 1152 to the bishop of Treviso, from 1158 the Tempesta family were vassals and in January 1220, Count Guido ceded the rights to Aldevrandino da Superno. Built in a strategic position, on the border between the territories of Treviso and Padua, it was the scene of numerous battles. Conquered definitively by the Venetians in the seventeenth century, the complex passed to the Venier family who carried out renovations. After a long period of abandonment, recently, thanks to the renovation work by Paolo Bertan, the building has undergone further adaptations to be adapted into an accommodation facility https://www.villeveneteforyou.com/castelli/castello-di-stigliano/

Villa Giovannelli Colonna is a rural palace in Noventa Padovana in the Veneto region near Padua, northern Italy, once famous for its sumptuous decorations. The villa was commissioned by the Giovanelli family to the architect Antonio Gaspari at the end of the 17th century. In 1738, on the occasion of Maria Amalia of Saxony, the daughter of the Polish King August II the Strong visited the villa, which was associated with King Charles of Naples and Sicily, the future Charles III. From Spain, Andrea Giovanelli and his brother Benedetto were married, decorated the facade of the villa with the festive portico and a precious entrance staircase by Giorgio Massari. On the balustrades are six allegorical statues representing the five senses: the Belvedere (sight/man), Il Odorato (smell/man), Il Tatto (touch/woman), L'Udire (hearing/woman), Il Gusto (Taste/Female) who are observed by La Ragione (top right). They were executed by Antonio Tarsia, Antonio Gai and the brothers Paolo and Giuseppe Groppelli.

Naviglio del Brenta or Brenta Vecchia is a minor branch (27.37 km) of the Brenta river that starts from Stra and flows into the Venetian lagoon at Fusina (in the municipality of Venice), crossing the municipalities of Fiesso d'Artico, Dolo and Mira. Through the Piovego canal, which connects the Brenta between Stra and Padua, the canal represents the river connection between the Venice lagoon and Padua. Brenta canal

The only villa among the villas designed by the genius of Andrea Palladio to be located along the Riviera del Brenta, in the final stretch, now close to the edge of the lagoon, it was commissioned in the mid-sixteenth century by the brothers Alvise and Nicolò Foscari, members of a powerful and wealthy family of the Venetian patriciate. Among the most majestic creations of the famous architect, the building, which belongs to the typology of the so-called 'villa-temple', has a monumental colonnaded pronaos and pediment on the front façade, which revises the ancient model of the Roman Pantheon, while the design of the rear elevation windowed, with a central system of large openings, it is inspired by the example of the Baths of Diocletian. In the internal hall, the frescoed mythological scenes, unfortunately badly damaged by time, are the work of Giovan Battista Zelotti. Although unsubstantiated, the legend that linked the villa to the memory of an unfortunate lady of the Foscari family has contributed to increasing
