The lighthouse, symbol of Palinuro, is one of the highest in Italy with its 70 meters of height. It cannot be visited inside as it is a military area, but from here you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the gulf and the coast of Capo Palinuro.

The Passo della Beta is a pass immersed in the beech wood of Monte Gelbison, located at about 1300 meters above sea level below the summit. From here begins the last stretch of climb that leads to the top, or it can also be reached from other paths that start from Cannalonga or Rofrano.

On the summit of Monte Gelbison at 1705 m asl is the sanctuary of the Madonna del Monte Sacro, a destination for pilgrimages and devotions. From here you can enjoy a spectacular panorama, and the path to get there is almost entirely in the shade in the woods, therefore suitable even on the hottest days.

The Beta pass is located at 1350 m asl and is a crossroads of paths. Continuing on the asphalt that makes its way through the thick beech forest, there are still 350 m of positive difference in altitude to reach the top of Monte Gelbsion.

The summit of Monte Gelbsion reaches 1705 m asl, here is also the Sanctuary of the Madonna del Sacro Monte di Novi Velia. From here you can admire the beautiful panorama that ranges from Cilento and Vallo di Diano to the Gulf of Salerno.
