I was fortunate enough to meet Francesco from the Pro Loco tourist office (find the number outside the church, or ask in town), who guided us for about an hour to discover this sacred cave. An unexpected and truly worthwhile experience with several surprises, absolutely worth it.

We pedal in the middle of thick vegetation that gives us a little coolness even on hot summer days. At this point we cross the Calore river thanks to an ancient Roman bridge.

The Madonna della Montagna is the name by which the Sanctuary of the Madonna delle Grazie is known, located in the Alburni Mountains, in the municipality of Sant'Angelo a Fasanella, in the province of Salerno. It can be easily reached from Casone Aresta or from the Ausoneto refuge.

Medieval stone bridge over the Calore River in the hamlet of Magliano Nuovo. It is the largest and best preserved of the four bridges over the Calore river in the Cilento, Vallo di Diano and Monti Alburni National Park.

Karst sinkhole located in the territory of Petina, it is one of the many naturalistic attractions of the Alburni Mountains, in the National Park. The cave is more than 200 meters deep and it is necessary to have adequate speleological equipment. There is a picnic area outside.

Shortly after Felitto along the regional road, cross the bridge over the Gole del Calore. From here you can admire the work of water erosion which has given rise to the formation in the rock of a canal where the river flows.

Small panoramic terrace just after the uphill turns leaving Magliano Vetere. From here you have a beautiful view of the village and the Alento Valley.
