Monte Gelbison is the fourth highest mountain in Cilento. On the 1705 meters high peak, there is the Sanctuary of the Madonna del Sacro Monte di Novi Velia, a destination for pilgrimages since the 16th century. From here the panorama opens up over the Cilento, the Vallo di Diano and the Gulf of Salerno.
