Beautiful cycle paths with varied routes in safety with dirt sections better with MTB or Gravel

The documents that speak of the mill date back to the second half of the 16th century, but the mill probably already existed before. Located along a canal adjacent to the Bardello river. The mill consists of several buildings used for milling. The mill is located along the Besozzo-Gavirate cycle path and is therefore easily accessible by bicycle or on foot.

Here, pedaling on the cycle path that runs around Lake Varese, you can admire a beautiful view of the water basin. The cycle/pedestrian itinerary follows the curious shape of the scarp of Lake Varese and winds almost entirely along asphalted roads, sheltered from vehicular traffic.

Lido di Gavirate, with its panoramic view and numerous places for an aperitif or a quick meal, is a fascinating meeting point. Along the way, connected to the cycle path, it offers stops in bars, playgrounds and green areas with the presence of ducks and geese. An ideal place for walking the dogs and enjoying ice creams. During the summer, it becomes a lively meeting point with parties and activities, while offering paid parking.

Access to the Canottieri Gavirate lake

Splendid panoramic point that offers a 360° view of the Province of Varese, the lakes and the entire Monte Rosa chain. On clear days the view is incomparable.
