순수한 자갈길 라이딩. 약간의 휴식을 위해 아스팔트 구간이 섞여 있습니다. 그늘과 햇볕이 번갈아 나타나지만, 제 생각에는 중간 시즌이 더 좋습니다. Verolavecchia와 Verolanuova의 특징적인 건축물이 있는 구간이 아름답습니다. 재미있는 오르막과 내리막이 있지만, 항상 그렇듯이 좋은 브레이크가 있는 것이 좋습니다.

The trail, which runs alongside the Canale Civico Cremonese, is straight and uneven, running through fields and rows of vines on a dirt surface. Stable and even, it's a perfect stretch for gravel and touring bikes.

Very beautiful, almost entirely shaded and cool. In some places, the vegetation is very lush, but there are alternative routes. As always, there are the inevitable fallen tree trunks along the way. One in particular is 15 cm in diameter, but you can climb over it. Have a good trip!

Used for food preservation, in the winter it was filled with snow and straw: the straw had an insulating function, while the snow, with its weight, became ice compacting inside the structure. This allowed the preservation of food in the summer. We are in "Scorzarolo", an old abandoned village near Verolavecchia (BS), here the icehouse most likely served two dairies for the processing of dairy products. The icehouse or "neviera" is made in a truncated cone shape with a circular plan and walls, usually in brick masonry or, like the one in Scorzarolo, in bricks, the ceiling is made in a dome. There are small windows and an entrance, the structure is about 4m deep.

The Scorzarolo Ice House: Ingenuity and Tradition This circular brick structure, with an ogival roof and about four meters deep, was filled with snow in the winter to preserve food during the summer. It may also have had a public-health service function, making it a key element of rural life at the time.

Next to the silent ruins of a large farmhouse in Verolavecchia, the ancient icehouse resists time, guardian of an agricultural past that tells of ingenuity and tradition. A precious testimony, immersed in the placid simplicity of the plain, where every brick speaks of toil and life lived. The hydraulic junction of the Tombe Morte-Tredici Ponti constitutes the most important concentration of artificial waterways in the province of Cremona, irrigating approximately 85,000 hectares of countryside. Here the Naviglio Civico di Cremona, the Naviglio Grande Pallavicino and the Canale Vacchelli intersect, the latter pouring almost all of its flow into the Naviglio Pallavicino, the Naviglio Civico and a dozen irrigation ditches through an impressive system of locks. Finally, a spillway, built between 1968 and 1981, detaches from the junction, which discharges any excess flow from the Naviglio Civico, the Naviglio Pallavicino and the Vacchelli into the Oglio river. Two different hypotheses have been made regarding the origin of the name, the first would originate from the term tomba which is synonymous with siphon, a hydraulic element that connects two conduits. Probably some of these artifacts would have fallen into disuse, hence the adjective death. Another hypothesis is linked to the discovery of several dozen burials dating back to the late Roman era.
