The forcella Col di Mezzo is a mountain pass located at 2315 meters above sea level, at the foot of the Three Peaks of Lavaredo. It is located right at the intersection where you can head towards the Auronzo refuge, towards the Langalm refuge or towards the valley, towards Lake Antorno.

The Furcia pass, located at an altitude of 1,759 metres, connects the Pusteria valley with the Badia valley. The two valleys are very different from each other: the language also changes, as it changes from the German of the Pusteria valley to the Ladin of the Badia valley. From the pass it is possible to make magnificent excursions that lead to Plan de Corones.

From the Hotel Pederü, the spectacular route leads in many serpentines and with gradients of 20 to 23 percent high up into the mountains of the Sennes plateau. With the MTB without support I had to push. Even going downhill, extreme caution is required due to the many small and large stones on the concrete road. The view of the valley is magnificent and once you have made the climb, you can really enjoy this magnificent mountain world without any lifts. Of the three routes I know of into the Fanes-Sennes-Prags Nature Park, in my opinion this is by far the steepest.

At this point on the cycle path to Cortina it is worth stopping to admire the view of the 3 Peaks.

Desirable is the approach to this vantage point. Because the surrounding mountains often fool the viewer into thinking they have the Three Peaks in front of them, even though they aren't.

The Cimabanche pass is a pass in the Dolomites in the Province of Belluno, 15 km long with a 2% gradient on the Ampezzo side and 16 km at 2% on the Pusteria side with a total height difference of 590 metres. At 1,529 meters above sea level it connects Cortina d'Ampezzo with Dobbiaco. A few meters south of the pass there are three small lakes: Lake Bianco, Lake Nero and Lake Rufiedo.

The round is easy to walk but sometimes steep. We therefore took hiking trail 7 for the ascent, which we found more pleasant because it was less monotonous. It then runs downhill on the road in a pleasantly smooth manner. Otherwise, both paths run parallel with some crossings.
