The church of Sant'Ulderico is the parish church of Musestre, a hamlet of Roncade (TV). The first mention of a church in Musestre is found in a papal bull of Callisto II in 1123, followed in 1135 by another by Pope Innocent II[1]. It was rebuilt in the eighteenth century using part of the masonry of the previous building, erected on the embankment of the Roman road Claudia Augusta, near the place where, according to tradition, the saints Teonisto, Tabra and Tabrata were martyred. It is interesting to note how the orientation has been changed: the old fourteenth-century church had its façade facing south, towards the Sile, while the entrance of the new one is rotated 90 degrees and faces the Musestre. The church was consecrated in 1746.

The current church of Pero was built in 1891 in honor of St. Colombano Abate, as was the previous one, dating back to a few centuries earlier. In 1892 the decorations and frescoes of the church began under the direction of Prof. Antonio Beni. From 1927 to 1929 some expansion works were carried out on the church which can be summarized in the construction of the apse and two two-story sacristies connected by two galleries to the existing presbytery. The new apse was connected to the choir so as to form pointed arches supported by pillars.

Musestre is located about 6 km south of Roncade, on the left bank of the river of the same name and at its mouth into the Sile. The Sile river itself divides Musestre from Quarto d'Altino, a locality with which it has a closer relationship than with the municipality to which it belongs. Until the early twentieth century, connections between the two locations were made via a ferry (the so-called pass); today the towns are joined by a bridge.
