The Baptistery, a monument of peace, commissioned by the "Boys of '99" on the banks of the "sacred" Piave River, was inaugurated on June 19, 1983. It is rooted in the past, in memory of the fallen of the Great War, but above all it is a reminder of peace and brotherhood for all peoples, especially for future generations. The anniversary of its inauguration is celebrated every year with the "Day of Peace," whose highlight is the Holy Baptism of Italian and foreign children as a sign of peace and brotherhood among peoples.
