The section leads along a cycle path between the Sauer and the federal highway.

The "Imperial Abbey of Echternach" in the Luxembourg town of Echternach was a Benedictine monastery and immediately subject to imperial rule in the "Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation." In addition to large parts of the convent buildings, the "Basilica of St. Willibrord," last reconstructed after World War II, has survived from the monastery. The territory of the former Imperial Abbey of Echternach lies largely in the Federal Republic of Germany today, with smaller parts in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The "Basilica of St. Willibrord" and large parts of the convent buildings are located in Echternach. As a "Free Imperial Abbey," it was immediately subject to imperial rule, possessed imperial territory, and always recognized only three masters: God, the Pope, and the Holy Roman Emperor.

Just below the viaduct there is a small hut for a rest or shelter from the weather.
