Monselice Castle is a complex of buildings composed of four main nuclei, plus a fortress, all built and renovated between the 11th and 16th centuries. The oldest part, on the right as you enter the main doorway into the Corte Grande, is the Castelletto, with the adjoining Romanesque house, built between the 11th and 12th centuries. On the left stands the massive 13th-century Ezzelino Tower. In the center, Palazzo Marcello was built in the 15th century as a connecting nucleus between the two existing buildings. At the top of the hill stands a fortress built by Ezzelino III da Romano on the orders of Emperor Frederick II of Swabia. Finally, the castle library, located on the large esplanade in front of the Ezzelino Tower, was created in a pre-existing building from the late 16th century.

The Sanctuary of S. Giorgio The Sanctuary of the Seven Churches in Monselice is certainly the most important religious monumental complex in the city. The evocative votive path, located on the slopes of the Colle della Rocca, is made up of six chapels that follow one another along the sacred road that climbs up to the square in front of Villa Duodo, where the last Church dedicated to San Giorgio is located, the largest of the seven, the culmination and arrival point of the Jubilee Route of the Seven Churches. The church of San Giorgio, also called the church of the Saints, was originally little larger than a room, perhaps it was used as a family chapel. In 1651, the bodies of three martyrs and numerous relics were brought from Rome. The arrival of new conspicuous relics in 1713 induced the Duodo family to add a real sanctuary next to the church in which to preserve the bodies of the Saints and display them to pilgrims.

The ancient Pieve di Santa Giustina, also called the Duomo Vecchio (built in 1256), is located on the slopes of Colle della Rocca, along the road that climbs towards the Santuario delle Sette Chiese. From its large churchyard you can enjoy an extraordinary view of the entire city and the nearby Euganean Hills. The Romanesque-style church with Gothic decorative elements is one of the most precious and historically rich places of worship in Monselice.

Strictly known as the "Antica Pieve di S. Giustina," this church is commonly called the "Duomo Vecchio," as it served as Monselice's cathedral until the new one was built in the mid-20th century. It dates back to 1256, built in a Romantic style with some Gothic decorative elements on the exterior. There was a previous parish church (dating back to the 10th century), built right on the summit of Colle della Rocca, but in 1239, Emperor Frederick II ordered its demolition to make way for the construction of the imposing and impregnable keep for military use. Thus, it was necessary to rebuild the parish church lower down, in its current location. Behind the church, the panoramic terrace and staircase (Vicolo Scalon) are very beautiful.
