The closure of the Velva tunnel (for about six months) meant that almost the entire route to the Colle was asphalted. Now the descents are a spectacle. And now that they have reopened the tunnel the traffic is scarce and therefore.... make way for cyclists!!!!

Segment that from Lungo Borsa (from the crossroads for Maissana) leads to Tavarone. First stretch up to the Colli crossroads, light climb, then the last 2/3km is sloping but pedalable. Narrow road, not excellent surface, but nice uphill. Cool area, be careful when it rains, snows or downhill, road quenched in many places.

I arrived at Passo Cento Croci from Passo della Cappelletta (coming from Borgo Val Di Taro), on a paved road, but cyclist-proof (zero cars encountered), which winds at high altitude between pastures and conifers, with an enchanting scenery

Once you get to Cento Croci it would be a shame not to get to the Cappelletta and admire the splendid bucolic landscapes that can be admired even in autumn. Wind turbines are awful but majestic.

Reference point for accessing the Val di Vara from Tigullio and for the return, also because the underlying tunnel is strictly forbidden to bikes. The descent towards Torza is not in optimal conditions, to be covered with attention to the holes.
