Spadafora Castle, or Samonà Castle, is an imposing fortification built in the late 16th century around a medieval tower. It served as a noble residence, but also as a base for coastal control. Today, it belongs to the Sicilian Region and is open to visitors.

The “Panino alla Disgraziata” from “Don Minico”, a kiosk that owes its name to its founder, is excellent. It is a loaf of wheat filled with cheese, pickles of all kinds, salami, etc. divided into four and excellent to eat.

A popular rest stop in a strategic location. The bus to Messina leaves from here and the turnoff leads to Dinnamare. The hiking trail to the Sentiero dei due mari starts on the right of the road.
