An interesting gateway along the ancient Castroreale-Mandanici cattle track where it overlaps with the Peloritani mountain range. The annual pilgrimages to the Sanctuary of Tindari, which are made in a variety of ways (on foot, by bike, on horseback), all pass through this gateway.
