In 2025, there was already snow here at the beginning of October. Areas without stone ledges became a slippery affair. Luckily, we were climbing up here. Crampons would have been overkill, but poles can be useful.

Beautifully situated alpine pasture at the foot of the Peitlerkofel. Prompt service and delicious food. 🍴🍺 If you can find a spot, you can admire the mountain range from the curved loungers. 😲 There's no shortage of play opportunities for children.

Everything here is real! The boss is super nice, the mountain hut is small, family-run and cozy. It's definitely worth a stop or to spend the night in a super cozy mattress dormitory above an old barn. No electricity, but an incredible amount of warmth and atmosphere ❤️

The cozy hut is located at 2080 m, directly under the steep walls of the Peitlerkofel, in the middle of the wide, flowering Peitler meadows. The Fornella Alm is a popular destination for families (also with strollers), mountain bikers, hikers and connoisseurs of all ages.

The mountain hut, located at the foot of the majestic Odle group, is open for much of the winter and is an excellent place to stop for lunch or a snack
