currently the railway line is interrupted but we managed to leave from Chatillon by bus loading the bikes towards Aosta, then take the cycle path along the Dora Baltea mostly downhill. we found some interrupted sections with diversions

The dirt road that leads from Porliod to Rifugio Magià is very easy to pedal and therefore suitable for everyone. The surface is hard and compact, without any roughness. The slopes are gentle and without sudden changes. The scenery all around is simply enchanting.

Here begins the beautiful dirt road that leads to the Magià Refuge. In the winter, when it is snowy, for the first stretch (up to the intersection with the cross-country ski trail) it becomes a snowshoe trail.
