산악자전거를 타고 카프레세 미켈란젤로 주변을 탐험하면 아펜니노 산맥을 배경으로 토스카나 발티베리나 지역의 다양한 풍경을 만날 수 있습니다. 이 지역에는 너도밤나무, 밤나무, 참나무가 우거진 광활한 숲이 있어 라이더들에게 다양한 지형을 제공합니다. 알페 디 카테나이아(Alpe di Catenaia)에서는 해발 1,415미터까지 올라가 상당한 오르막과 내리막을 경험할 수 있습니다. 싱게르나(Singerna) 계곡과 같은 수많은 강과 수로가 풍경을 가로질러 흐르며, 결국 몬테도글리오 호수(Lake Montedoglio)로 흘러 들어갑니다.

Legend has it that St. Francis, after receiving the Stigmata, left La Verna on September 30, 1224. The itinerary he was to follow wound toward Monte Arcoppe, the Foresto and reached the place called La Casella, from where, via Castello di Montauto, Sansepolcro, Citta’ di Castello, he would have reached Assisi. At La Casella, where a hermitage would later be built, he wanted to stop to perform a rite. From that height, where the eye sweeps across the vastness of superb landscapes, St. Francis, aware that that journey would be one with no return, looked at La Verna for a long time and with deep emotion said: Farewell, mountain of God, holy mountain, mons coagulatus, mons pinguis, mons in quo beneplacitum est Deo habitare! Farewell Mount Alvernia; God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit bless you! Stay in peace, for we will never see each other again. Fantastic views over the valley of the Singerna. In addition, a nice place where you can BBQ, picnic tables are available. Good place to cool down during hot summer days.

It is a typical Apennine village with stone houses, located on the slopes of the Alpe di Catenaia at the edge of chestnut groves and ancient woods. Very interesting is the medieval stone bridge that connects the two parts of the small village, which develops along the course of the Cerfone stream.
