Quincinetto is a small town on the border between Piedmont and Valle d'Aosta. The town is surrounded by woods and rows of vines from which an excellent wine is obtained.

The Andrate Stone is an erratic boulder near the town of Andrate, symbol of the Canavese section of the Italian Alpine Club. The association was established more than 100 years ago, and on the boulder there is an engraving with the date of the inauguration dating back to January 1, 1922.

It is a "mica schistic monolith" that is, a single block of stone. It has large dimensions and a few tons of weight. We are not sure about its origin or function but it may have been used, in the Lombard era, as a burial place for a high-ranking person.
