From the front, the church looks like a fortress. For this sparsely populated area, this church—like many others—is far too large for the village.

In 2007, the Old Market Square was completely redesigned, with a media tower displaying constantly changing messages. A metal prism was installed in this tower, controlled by a light barrier. The tower stands on the site where the first town hall was built in the 16th century. The kaleidoscopic cycle of art in the spire depicts highlights of the town's development: the coat of arms, the great city fire, trades, and connection to the supra-regional railway network.
