The Asiago Military Memorial and Ossuary stands majestically on Leiten Hill (pronounced "Làiten"), where the ancient district of the same name once stood, destroyed in the First World War and never rebuilt. Austere, it dominates the entire valley and is visible from great distances and from the surrounding peaks of the plateau. The structure has a square plan and four perfectly symmetrical fronts: the crypt (the base) measures 80m on each side and 7m high; the triumphal arch measures 23m on each side and 47m high; the span of the large arches is 9x22m. To provide the building materials, 15 stone quarries were opened within a 20km radius. Inside the monument is a small museum with interesting artifacts from the Great War and a description of the events on the plateau.
