This linden tree, with a trunk diameter of 0.90 m and a trunk circumference of 2.85 m, represents a unique natural monument. Its estimated age is 120 to 150 years.

Unfortunately, the path is no longer as beautiful as it appears in the pictures. Due to heavy forestry machinery, you have to be careful when driving down, but it is still passable.

At the foot of the Großer Gleichberg, above the monument, stands this oak tree, designated as a natural monument. The surrounding area was recently redesigned. A new bridge now spans the small ditch, and a bench sits directly beneath the tree, inviting visitors to linger. A display with an insect hotel and an information panel on appropriate conduct in the nature reserve has also been installed. These improvements have created an attractive environment. Many thanks to the Friends of the Großer Gleichberg for their fantastic commitment! 👌🏻
