The hike begins in Santa Elisabetta, just outside the center of Schilpario, where you join CAI trail 415. The route initially winds through the forest, among fir and larch trees, gaining altitude with regular switchbacks. After passing the Roccolo di Busmino and the Monte Busma mountain pasture, it turns west towards Monte Gaffione. Here, in a basin between the peaks, the valley opens up that hosts the Laghetti delle Valli, at approximately 1,979 meters above sea level. The landscape is alpine and wild: the small lakes, of glacial origin, are surrounded by flowering pastures, rhododendrons, and rocks smoothed by time. The clear waters reflect the sky and mountains, creating a suspended, almost magical atmosphere. Just above the largest lake, there is a curious "sword in the stone," installed as a symbolic attraction, adding a fairytale touch to the hike. The trail then continues towards the Vivione Pass, making it ideal for a full-day trek. The difficulty is classified as hiking (E), with an elevation gain of approximately 870 meters and a total length of approximately 15 km, round-trip. The Laghetti delle Valli are a perfect place for those who love the true mountains, the kind conquered step by step, offering simple yet profound emotions. A hike here is a journey into the quiet, beauty, and history of a valley that has managed to preserve its authentic spirit.

Nestled in a green valley between the mountains, this small body of water offers an atmosphere of absolute tranquility, ideal for those seeking an excursion away from mass tourism and close to pristine nature.

The Veneròcolo Lakes are one of the hidden wonders of the Scalve Valley, located in the Schilpario (BG) area. These alpine lakes are located at approximately 2,200 meters above sea level, nestled in a natural basin between Mount Venerocolino and Mount Tre Confini. 💧 Main features: The largest is Lago Bianco, with clear waters and a surface area of approximately 30,000 m². Nearby are Lago Piccolo, Lago Basso Est, and other smaller lakes, which can dry out during drier periods. The environment is wild and peaceful, perfect for those seeking a hike off the beaten track. 🥾 Access: The trail starts from the hamlet of Ronco di Schilpario, passing through the village of La Paghera. Follow CAI trail 414, which ascends the Venerocolino Valley to the Venerocolo Pass (2,314 m). The hike is challenging: approximately 1,100 m of elevation gain and a total of 7–8 hours there and back. It is recommended for experienced hikers.

A very picturesque lake, its green water reflecting the nearby mountains. A great place for a short or long stop to take a souvenir photo.

Typical alpine lake of glacial origin, located at 2060m in the Valbona Valley, from which it takes its name. It can be reached starting from the Passo del Vivione and following the path that goes up alongside the Valbona Torrent and its lower waterfall. Once you reach the Malga Valbona, you go up further and you can reach it in a few minutes.
