Perfect for a mid-November visit, as I did today. The lake is frozen and magnificent to see. It's a short drive from San Giuseppe—it took me an hour and a quarter—but there's ice in some spots, and it's quite cold, being on the dark side. But it's worth it.

The path from San Giuseppe has some steep and wet sections, especially during the thaw: comfortable footwear suitable for the terrain is recommended.
