Legend has it that three women were walled up alive in the sanctuary of Somazzo to preserve their fidelity to their spouses. Passing carters from Riva San Vitale managed to quench their thirst using their hats and sticks to reach small windows behind which they were locked. In thanks, the three women promised that the people of Riva would never lack water. Since that day, the people of Riva have been going to the sanctuary in procession during times of drought.

At the end of the beach promenade there is "suddenly" a huge building: Villa Olmo. Imposing park with a panoramic view of Como. The bike has to be pushed.
