This old fishing village on the northern edge of Lake Como has preserved its characteristic townscape, with narrow alleys and streets descending steeply to the lake. The southern lakeside promenade, with its old, colorfully painted facades, delights even the most prosaic vacationer. Even the pine-lined main road is hardly a disturbance here. The northern part of the village boasts a good selection of restaurants and pizzerias. Campsites, vacation apartments, and other accommodations are lined up nearby.
