Bardolino is really worth seeing, but it's a nightmare for cyclists. Too many people in the town itself and also in the surrounding areas.

Very beautiful stretch of route by the lake, through a wonderful landscape. Just cycle in a relaxed manner and take in the beautiful perspectives.

Bardolino is an Italian municipality on Lake Garda in the province of Verona in the northeastern Italian region of Veneto with 7,003 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2022). The military harbor of Peschiera had to be deepened by over 2 m in 1861 to accommodate a newly built gunboat for the Garda flotilla. When digging with a so-called paternoster excavator north of the Querini Bastion, numerous bronze objects were unearthed. Interesting old fortress town, old barracks, city gates, bridges. Lots of cafés and nice places to stop for refreshments.

Nice historical place. If you really want it to be nice, check out Lazise before the store opens in the morning. Afterwards they feel like they are in a big German city.

Bella Italia - the entire lake and surrounding area is incredibly beautiful - it's hard to put it into words. Mountainous in the north, rather flat in the south, mostly quite coarse pebble beach and yet there is a wonderfully fine sandy beach along the east coast. Wonderful climate.

Lazise has a special flair. But if you want to eat well, I have to look for something outside. Cycling along the lake is mostly comparable to an obstacle race, but here you don't want to unwind kilometers, but rather glide along comfortably.
