Beautiful entrance to Zeitzgrund, you pass under the motorway bridge of the A4, at the end you arrive at the Ziegenmühle in Zeitzgrund, from here you can choose towards Hermsdorf or Stadtroda

The farm shop in Gernewitz invites you to take a break and linger. Regional and sustainable (organic) products, including those made locally! I was able to try the aronia spread, garlic sausage, and delicious vanilla ice cream from the ice cream factory, and it was all incredibly delicious. On some days, they also sell smoked fish outside. This interesting farm shop is located between Gera, the beautiful Zeitzgrund region, and Jena, directly on these cycle paths: > D4 long-distance cycle path > Thuringian town chain > Mühlental cycle path https://www.hofladen-gernewitz.de/

In 1770/71, the hall church was built on the foundations of its predecessor. The latter had been rebuilt in 1647 after being completely destroyed by Swedish troops, but was in need of repair (part of the church ceiling collapsed in 1751).
