The wild troughs are one of the most beautiful natural sights on the Soča River and a significant natural value of the Triglav National Park. The emerald-coloured pools are intertwined with the 750 m long, just a few metres wide and 15 m deep, meticulously cut gorge, which extends into deep, emerald-green pools at the end of the trough.

The Soča River flows through deep canyons into pools full of white sand and marble trout. The river has its unique emerald green color from underground limestone caves. These caverns follow the river through the entire Soča Valley from its source in Slovenia to its delta in Italy.

Right next to the suspension bridge there are nice places downstream to cool off in the Soča. There are rocks of different heights to jump into.
