One of many tunnels between Ampezzo and Staudam. Lights are recommended here, as cars and motorcycles are also on the road, and the tunnels are dark!

This tunnel is a magnificent piece of Italian architecture. Coming from Passo Pura, it leads you in serpentine lines directly to the dam. As soon as you enter it, which is completely illuminated with warm yellow light, you start to feel a little scary because you soon no longer know your way around the serpentine curves. The tunnel exit leads directly to the dam and offers you a breathtaking view of the dam, reservoir and the mountain landscape.

Very long and demanding climb, fantastic panorama at the top.

Ascent mostly in the forest, only shortly before the pass you get the panorama. Very nice along the lake in the lower part. Ascent not particularly exciting, but the view down on the other side.

Fresh topping in the upper steep part. (As of September 2020) Really beautiful route with great views.

Small, quiet road (SP 73) from Ampezzo to Lago di Sauris. Many hairpin bends in the middle. Later, many tunnel sections follow in the upper area. Attention! Unlit and with cobblestone pavement.
