A smaller suspension bridge than in the 1000 steps gorge, but also with less public traffic. Definitely worth a detour.

Tour is recommended from the Texelbahn to Unterstellbahn, since it is less uphill. The bridges rock up if anyone's scared. There are now two of them.

The destination for this stage is the sophisticated spa town of Meran with its Mediterranean flair. The thermal baths invite you to relax after a strenuous day on the saddle and give you new strength for the next stage. Very nice hike with a great view. The 1000 steps are distributed on the hiking trail. Sometimes up, sometimes down. Mostly stone/rock steps, fewer actual stair steps. That's why there are different step heights, great leg training :) :) On the way there are always inviting alpine pastures.
