My highlight every time at the start of the season and again at the end in October. The Mendel Pass, with its 5-8% gradient, is relatively easy to ride, and every hairpin bend is really fun. If you set off as early as possible, you'll practically have the route to yourself – without Porsche drivers and Kawasakis 😉 The descent is just as fun. You can easily reach speeds of 60 km/h and more 🚴

Impressive view down into the gorge. Add to that the railway bridge and it looks almost romantic here.

The two small lakes Coredo and Tavon, in the town of Palù, are nestled in a fascinating mountain setting. They are located at an altitude of 830 m, are of glacial origin and have a surface area of approximately 25,000 m².

Beautiful view of the sparkling lake

Easy mountain hike with an altitude difference of about 380 meters. The starting point is the mountain station of the Mendelbahn or one of the free parking spaces at the top of the pass. The length of the hike is about 4 kilometers, which can easily be completed in just over 1:30 hours. On the way you can always enjoy beautiful views of Kaltern with the lake and Bolzano.
