    Easy mountain hike with an altitude difference of about 380 meters. The starting point is the mountain station of the Mendelbahn or one of the free parking spaces at the top of the pass. The length of the hike is about 4 kilometers, which can easily be completed in just over 1:30 hours. On the way you can always enjoy beautiful views of Kaltern with the lake and Bolzano.

            The Mendelbahn takes you from Kaltern up to the Mendel Pass (the journey is included in the local wine pass).
            Once you reach the top, keep to the right and climb slowly along the ridge towards Monte Penegal with a great view.
            After a refreshment in the local restaurant, with a magnificent view of the Schlern and Rosengarten, you head back to the Mendel Pass on the back of the ridge with a view of the Brenta Dolomites through numerous pastures. Suitable for children!!!
