The Adige Cycle Path near Grumo is a particularly scenic and excellently maintained section of this popular cycling route. The panorama is impressive: the Dolomites rise majestically in the background, while you cycle along the smooth, flat asphalt path. The contrast between untouched nature, modern infrastructure such as the railway bridge, and the gently rolling course of the Adige River is particularly striking. It's an ideal place for a short break to breathe deeply, enjoy the scenery, and take in the harmonious interplay of technology and nature.

The Adige Cycle Path between Bolzano and Trento is both a blessing and a curse. On the one hand, it's easy to cycle, always straight, but from midday onward, there's usually a strong headwind blowing up the Adige Valley from the Po Valley. All in all, over 100 km along the Adige River simply becomes boring. One option is a detour along the old railway line, via Kaltern and Tramin.

Spectacular cycle path, and besides beautiful I would say indispensable to avoid the very busy main road.
