Nice way to the castle. You have to walk a lot uphill. Unfortunately, the castle is fenced in, so you can't get to it directly. The path towards Bauler goes zig zak uphill and you are rewarded with a beautiful view. The rock path down to Vianden is okay on foot, but not suitable for beginners on a mountain bike.

Some gravel but always easy to ride and with some really smooth tarmac bike trails. Really great to ride on a gravel bike. Rode this in the summer, and wasn't busy at all.

I like to recommend a hike from Vianden to Falkenstein Castle over the ridge. You can't get to the castle. But the way is awesome!
