This is an example of a "B-Werk" Bunker form the Westwall, a front-line fortification ensemble, spanning for about 630 km, from the border of Netherlands to the border of Switzerland. This bunker was built around 1938. The bunker is overlooking the confluence point of the Our and Sûr rivers and the highgrounds on the luxemburgish side around Hoesdorf.

The German military cemetery was planned an built in 1953/1954 by the German "Volksbund Deutsche Kriegsgräberfürsorge". 326 fallen soldiers, who either died defending the defending the Wallendorf Bridgehead or in the Battle of the Bulge are buried here.

The St. Mark's Chapel in Longsdorf is a popular pilgrimage site, especially on April 25th, the feast day of the patron saint. The magnificent architecture provides a dignified setting for numerous classical concerts. From 1627 onwards, a hermit lived here in the neighboring hermitage. He was responsible for the security of the church. The current building probably dates back to the second half of the 16th century. It is a two-aisled building separated by a row of columns. The choir is divided into three axes. An inner church porch marks the western entrance. In 1757, a side gate was broken into the north wall. The geometric paintings in the apse date back to the 16th century. In the middle choir area there is a baroque altar. On the left, the visitor discovers a modern statue of the Virgin Mary, on the right a crucifix that can be dated back to around 1600. In the back part of the nave there is a depiction of the martyrdom of St. Mark painted on wood. The cloister was built in the 19th century. The modern windows from 1989 were created by the artist Emile Probst, who was born in Vianden and lives in Brussels.
