Spectacular, do it downhill and all in one go... adrenaline-filled at times!!

Beautiful ride between the provinces of PV and PC to do not immediately after a day of rain, terrain in parts clay and muddy. At km. 6.40 take the low variant because the one that gives the track is impassable.

It is an Astronomical Observatory located in the province of Piacenza, in the locality of Lazzarello di Pecorara, in an elevated position (785 m/asl), isolated and sufficiently far from light pollution. This allows the Gruppo Astrofili di Piacenza to practice and disseminate Astronomy from a privileged position, therefore of particular interest for astronomical science enthusiasts and for schools.

On 14-11-2024 I passed through the stretch, Molino del Gobbo and Molino Rizzo, the path was cleared from the extraordinary fall of trees. I did not find objects, trees that obstructed the passage,

Near Montecanino, good Piacenza cuisine... The rooms of the former stable have been recovered, making them functional and welcoming. The large veranda with windows, the small room with fireplace, the external porch are the spaces that distinguish the Agriturismo Il Gelso, which takes its name from the centuries-old mulberry tree under which it stands. In 2010, in the adjacent rustic building, in the shade of the ruins of the ancient medieval castle, six comfortable and welcoming rooms were created, surrounded by greenery and tranquility. Il Gelso thus becomes a real bed & breakfast, to be chosen as a strategic point from which to start to discover the hills of the province of Piacenza

Comment dated August 2, 2024.... Climbing Mount Pioggia on an eMTB is now difficult if not impossible! While before it was tough, given the surface and the sudden difference in altitude, now after the heavy rains of the last few months, which have dug out the stretch there is no path to do it in the saddle. By cutting the hay, the farmer made it possible to circumvent the stretch in question and reach the summit of Monte Pioggia!
