Nice little place on the east bank of the lake

Traveling along the Trasimeno cycle path, a brief stop on the San Feliciano pier is almost obligatory. There is a rest area, benches along the lake, a fountain for water and a bar if you fancy a coffee or an ice cream!

The castle of Monte Melino is located on a hill 347 meters above sea level. The Montemelini family, one of the oldest in Perugia, derives its name from the settlement. In the 13th century, the castle was known as a castrum and housed a population of around 200, which had dropped to 49 by 1410.

This is the small port of San Feliciano which is really very pretty and is the perfect place to take a break since there are benches in the shade and the view is very beautiful. Near the marina there is a colony of very nice and sociable cats.
