"Erratic" boulders from the bombing of Naples 43/44

Nothing special here - just a place where all of the wood paths meet. Couple of headless statues on the North, and a path towards the museum to the south. Reasonably clean toilets.

To be very frank, this park is one of the few areas in Naples that are clean, green and refreshing. No garbage, no buildings falling apart - one could almost believe to be in Austria. 😂

Greenish paths look so surreal. I've been looking left and right to see if there are any elfs or hobbits around. 😂

Currently, the garden houses about 25,000 plant specimens representing about 10,000 plant species. Although the garden is open to the public, it is not necessarily a public park. It is an autonomous educational center for the university and local high schools of the Department of Agriculture of the University of Naples.

It was built by the will of the illustrious Neapolitan doctor and forerunner of the Red Cross, Ferdinando Palasciano and his wife Olga Vavilow, who used it as their home. The eclectic style blends neo-Gothic and Renaissance styles, while the imposing and panoramic Palumbo tower seems to have been inspired by the Palazzo della Signoria in Florence [1]. The tower, visible from many points of Naples, has five floors [2] and numerous rooms, all originally frescoed [3].
