Volture Park

A set of cellars distributed on the back of the hill on which the town is located. A characteristic place that is easy to reach and requires little effort to visit (no equipment). In summer an event is organized during which most of the cellars are open and it is possible to visit them, as well as taste typical local products.

Melfi, in Basilicata, boasts a rich medieval past having been the first Norman capital in southern Italy and residence of Frederick II, who promulgated the Constitutions of Melfi here. The city is home to the famous Melfi Castle, built by the Normans and witness to significant historical events. Today, Melfi retains its historical and architectural charm, with traces of different dominations that have marked its history.

Sant'Ilario di Atella, a small Lucanian town, is an ancient village surrounded by a fiefdom of the same name. Linked to legends and the figure of Saint Hilary of Poitiers, it preserves the remains of thousand-year-old castles and offers a magical atmosphere for visitors.

Filiano, a small Lucanian town, extends over a predominantly hilly area, with wooded areas, pastures and urban and rural areas. It is located on the hills that border the Vitalba Valley, on the slope of the Serra dei Daini.

Dating back to the Norman period, the castle of Melfi stands out over the city and is clearly visible from this point.
