The Astroni Crater was created with the succession of seven eruptions that occurred between 4,100 and 3,800 years ago. There are three lakes, including the Lago Grande. There are about 130 species of birds, various species of amphibians, reptiles and small mammals.

Nothing special here - just a place where all of the wood paths meet. Couple of headless statues on the North, and a path towards the museum to the south. Reasonably clean toilets.
