The Bodenalpe is idyllically situated in the Almajur valley. For example, you can cycle from Steeg along beautiful forest paths beside the Almajurbach stream up to the mountain hut of the same name at 1,560 meters.

You can stop by the Kasermandl mountain hut for a meal or even stay overnight. Open Thursday to Monday from 10 am to 7 pm. In winter, until 6 pm. Closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays, except Wednesdays during peak season. More information at: https://kasermandl.tirol/impressum/

There are quite a few horseflies 🪰 around, and it's not suitable for swimming due to the crumbling and slippery ground. Better to enjoy it from above 🙂
