The rest area is well located. Children will find several nice play opportunities around it.

This is the starting point of the 2 km long Gnome Trail, which is a great and educational experience, especially (but not only) for families with small children.

From Negenborn, above Einbeck-Volksen, you can easily start a hike through the Einbeck Forest. On a clear day, the Sonnenberg hill offers a beautiful view across the Leine Valley to the Harz Mountains.

The Sonnenberg near Negenborn lies on the southeastern edge of the Hube ridge and is less of a summit than a scenic ridge between forest and fields. From here, the view opens up far into the Leine Valley. On a clear day, you can even see the Harz Mountains on the horizon. The "Brockenblick" viewpoint on the forest path above the holiday village is particularly popular. From there, you can see far beyond Negenborn to the east.

In commemoration of Carl-Ernst Büchting's 100th birthday, KWS Saat gifted the popular winter toboggan run to the town of Einbeck. With the commitment of the company founded by Büchting and the AKB Foundation to maintain the site, a small viewing platform with benches and a shelter was built there in 2016. Above the Büchting Meadow, a large memorial stone now commemorates Carl-Ernst and Johanne Büchting, who dedicated decades to helping returning soldiers, refugees from East Germany, and resettlers. For hikers in the Einbeck town forest, the small shelter offers an ideal rest stop with a fantastic view over the town.

The Domeier memorial stone is located on the edge of the Einbeck city forest on the Hube (Auf der Trumpe) – a quiet spot in the middle of the deciduous forest. It commemorates Senator Hermann Domeier, who was responsible for the construction of the Kaiser-Friedrich Tower, which was completed in 1900.

The Black Hut is located in the heart of Einbeck's city forest on the Hube hill. Situated on several circular hiking trails, it offers perfect shelter in bad weather and an ideal rest stop. Equipped with benches and a table, you can enjoy your snack here in peace and quiet. The information board shows you the various hiking trails and viewpoints in the city forest.
