The pump track facility at Lake Olbersdorf will be closed for an expected three months starting April 8, 2025. The reason for the closure is necessary repair work on the green areas surrounding the track. Damaged green areas will be restored and erosion protection will be improved. The goal is to permanently ensure the attractiveness and safety of the facility.

The exhibition is open year-round, and visitors can browse at their leisure, even taking advantage of a knowledgeable and expert guided tour. The Clock Courtyard doesn't have regular opening hours; anyone who comes and rings the bell when someone is home will be admitted. However, those who want to be on the safe side can register by calling the Ochmann family at 03583/69 04 53 or 0172 5919917.

Once an open-cast mining pit, Lake Olbersdorf is now a local recreation area. Located at the foot of the Zittau Mountains, this bathing lake with a sandy beach stretches between Olbersdorf and Zittau. Once a year, at the beginning of August, the O-See Challenge takes place here, attracting hundreds of triathletes and thousands of spectators.
