The best car park for a tour of the Asse, preferably directly via the Liebesallee to the Bismarkturm.

A nice trail for hiking with a few places to rest, a little off there is a swing in the middle of the forest near the game reserve/leisure and education center

The tower looks very massive but also well maintained. The ascent was worth it, we had a good view of the wide country.

Beautiful avenue with old trees, but also with replanting. There is a bench and a small rest area right on the avenue.

Opinions differ on the length, but overall the Philosophenweg is probably a 5.2 km long, natural path over the Asse mountain range. It leads from the Falkenheim car park in Groß Denkte via the Festberg to the visitor car park at the Asse II mine. The namesake were probably great minds from the Duchy of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel, who retired to the Asse to "let your soul dangle". Easy to understand, because this ridge path is absolutely fantastic... at a time when there are few leaves with great views!

Very nice section in the Asse. Here you pass many geological highlights and can read the relevant information on the boards!
