Richmond Castle (Click to enlarge) Richmond Castle © Braunschweig Stadtmarketing GmbH/Daniel Möller In the south of Braunschweig there is a historical gem on Wolfenbütteler Straße: the Richmond Palace complex, the former refuge of Duchess Augusta (1737/1780-1813). The charming group of buildings consisting of a pleasure palace and outbuildings is surrounded by an English landscape park, much of which has been restored in recent years. The view extends over ponds, winding paths and along groups of trees to a small temple in the distance. A visit is particularly worthwhile in May when the large rhododendrons are blooming. Very nice little castle 🏰 in the park and with a view of the lake and the Oker.

브라운슈바이크 남쪽, 볼펜뷔텔러 거리에 역사적인 보석이 있습니다. 바로 리치몬드 성 단지로, 아우구스타 공작부인(1737/1780-1813)의 옛 피난처였습니다. 매력적인 건물군은 유희용 성과 부속 건물로 이루어져 있으며, 영국식 조경 공원으로 둘러싸여 있습니다. 이 공원은 최근 몇 년 동안 상당 부분 복원되었습니다. 연못, 구불구불한 길, 나무 그룹을 따라 멀리 보이는 작은 사원까지 시야가 펼쳐집니다. 특히 5월에 큰 철쭉이 만발할 때 방문하면 좋습니다. 복원된 성은 오늘날 대표적인 목적으로 사용됩니다. 비영리 및 민간 행사 주최자에게 임대되며, 브라운슈바이크 시의 혼인 등록소에서도 결혼식 장소로 이용됩니다. 출처: https://www.braunschweig.de/tourismus/ueber-braunschweig/sehenswuerdigkeiten/_schloss_richmond.php
