A beautifully laid-out cycle path. Excursions into neighboring Czech Republic are easily possible.

The town of Kurort Oberwiesenthal can take advantage of some interesting funding programs for numerous non-profit and investment projects. Especially in the border area with the Czech Republic, this offers opportunities to further connect and harmonize the diversity of our mountain region. One example of this is the Mill Cycle Path. Not only does it run off the B95, but also because its unique location along the border with/through the Czech Republic makes this a successful project that also contributes to good neighborly relations.

The carved wooden sculpture "Lesní Strašidlo" (Forest Spirit) by the artist Zdeněk Vejražka is part of the Christkindl fairytale trail for children, opened in 2007.

A carved sculpture of the cartoon character "The Little Mole" stands by the path here. The Czech cartoon series was created in 1957 by Prague artist Zdeněk Miler (1921 to 2011). In the original Czech version, the hero of the funny stories is called Krtek (Czech for "mole") or Krteček (Czech for "little mole"). The series aired on East German television as part of the program "Unser Sandmännchen" (Our Sandman). In West Germany, it was broadcast on ARD from January 1968.

Very worth seeing, you have to see it

I loved the little mole on TV when I was a child. I think he used to appear on the show with the mouse... And now he's here on the bike path, larger than life! There are several of these wonderful works of art all along the bike path, and I like the little mole the best.
