Despite the picture, it is currently completely free to drive on. In my opinion, ideal towards the north. Watch out for walkers with animal companions!

The Rudolf von Bennigsen Oak was a natural monument in the Bennigsen district of the city of Springe in the Hanover region. The more than 250-year-old sessile oak (Quercus petraea) stood on the southern edge of the Süllberg forest north of Bennigsen. The tree was named in August 1911 on the occasion of the 600th anniversary of the von Bennigsen after the politician Rudolf von Bennigsen, who died in Bennigsen in 1902. The tree was struck by lightning during a storm in late January 2013, fell over and broke. Fragments of the tree and the associated memorial stone can still be found on the Süllberg.
