In summer, when the forest that almost completely surrounds the lake is lush green and the water glitters in the sun, the walk almost feels like a little vacation. Reed beds, rubble forest and swampy areas characterize the bank landscape. The Löcknitz - or as they say here, the Mühlenfließ - runs through the lake and gives the entire area its typical Brandenburg face. Not far from the bank is the “Neue Mühle” manor house. Historical and impressive, a little journey through time in the middle of the countryside. And while you're hiking, you can watch the anglers, engrossed, looking for perch, pike or even the odd carp. There's a lot of activity here at the weekend, but during the week you can really enjoy the lake and its tranquility. But it's not just nature that's a highlight here.
